HR MANAGER (FTC)

Main Objectives
Oversee the People & Culture department in the absence of P&C Manager
Maintain and develop the organisation culture
Key Responsibilities
HR Management
Manage the full recruitment process from identifying vacancies through to onboarding new hires
Screen CV’s and identify suitable candidates, conduct telephone interviews and coordinate face to face interviews
Collate employment documents and set up new employees on HR system
Identify training needs, book training courses when required and maintain and communicate training compliance records
Liaise with management around temporary cover requirements and instruct agencies to fulfil placements when required
Undertake and provide support during the onboarding process to ensure candidates remain engaged whilst integrating within the business
Liaise with line managers around onboarding meetings, probation and annual review meetings
Provide HR support and guidance to Watson employees, encouraging compliance of HR processes
Process holiday requests and manage absences through internal processes
Complete monthly apprenticeship meetings with line managers
Assess and report key operational and HR data and information to Directors on monthly basis
Facilitate formal HR processes when required and manage through to completion
Culture
Lead and maintain on the continued implementation of a culture which is open, fun, relaxed and productive
Communicate HR changes to encourage a positive attitude towards change management to support business objectives
Assess Watson employees to ensure behaviours match the desired culture of the organisation
Work with development partners, local communities and training providers to provide social value in development areas
General
Monitor HR compliance across the organisation
Provide support and be the first point of contact for all HR queries
Complete all administration associated with the department
Communicate relevant HR changes to employees
Identify areas of improvement and solutions to enhance the Watson experience and department
Champion the organisation, culture and values and objectives
Keep up to date with legislative changes and manage own CPD

Qualifications & Training - Desirable
CIPD Level 5 or above/equivalent
COINS system training
Experience
Experience in all areas of HR (recruitment, people management, change management, compliance, L&D, employee relations and law)
Construction background is preferable
Good working experience of Outlook, Word and Excel
Able to complete data analysis and create reports
