Reports to: Senior Site Manager
Accountable to: Contracts Manager


Main Objectives

Report to Site Managers on all matters relating to the day to day running of the development

Assist the Site Managers with responsibilities for health and safety standards on site, protection of works, presentation and quality of product

Work to agreed build programme and financial parameters set for the development

Key Responsibilities

Read, understand and comply with company policies and procedures  and implement on site at all times

Assist with ensuring that Health and Safety procedures are strictly adhered to whilst keeping all required documentation up to date

Ensure all trades are working in accordance with trade specifications and to required quality standards

Work to agreed build programme, providing 4 week look ahead plans with weekly reviews and updates to achieve development completion target

Fully conform to building regulations and warranty providers requirements

Assist in the completion of property inspection records in order to provide sign off for completed works

Assist with the organisation of regular development production meetings to address site progress, programme and quality

Ensure stock levels are in accordance with build requirements including monitoring and recording deliveries of materials

Ensure site administration is carried out in accordance with company requirements including site inductions, H&S documentation, site meeting reports and all audit actions

Manage, motivate and support onsite staff, report any performance concerns to the Site Manager and ensure adequate cover is arranged when required

Represent the company in a professional manner at all times

Provide support and site cover on other developments when required

Qualifications & Training - Essential

  • Construction based qualification Level 3 or above

  • CSCS

  • SMSTS

  • First Aid at Work

  • Good working knowledge of Building Regulations

Qualifications & Training - Desirable

  • Basic Scaffold Inspection

  • Temporary Works Co-ordinator

  • IPAF MEWPS for Managers

  • PASMA Management of Mobile Access Towers

  • Asbestos Awareness

  • Fire Warden

  • Mental Health First Aid

  • Good knowledge of LABC standards

  • Good knowledge of Robust details/Accredited details

Experience

  • Previous site management experience

  • Up to date knowledge of health and safety obligations

Working relationships

It is important to form strong working relationships with both internal and external people. The focus in this role is:

Internal: Directly employed site staff, Contracts Manager, Procurement & Commercial staff, HR, Design/Technical staff, Planners, Directors

External: Sub-Contractors, suppliers, LABC  representatives, customers and members of the public
